Midyear
I’ve learned a lot this year so far in journalism. I’ve learned how to write articles and reviews for movies and restaurants. I’ve also been able to write better and not be so repetitive. This semester was good because my writing got better. At first, getting ads was a little difficult as I didn’t know all the things that the ad required to be able to be run in the newspaper. I didn’t know that there was a specific format for the ads to be in. I also learned how to interact with people for interviews and getting information for articles. The course met my expectations by I knew I’d become a better writer and learn how to write about events and things that are in my section. What I learned met my expectations because since it’s a class and the actual paper I knew that I’d learn new things. My expectations for the second half of the year are to continue getting better at writing and reporting.
